Terms & conditions.

Last updated: 19 September 2026. This document is the site's structural legal foundation — written to actually cover what the site does (paid consulting services, domain registration, digital guides, accounts, and live payment processing). It is not a substitute for review by a South African attorney, and we recommend getting that review before treating it as final, particularly around consumer protection, tax, and data-protection specifics for your business. It is not legal advice to you as the reader.

1. Who we are. Magu Business Consultants (Pty) Ltd ("Magu", "we", "us"), registration number 2023/889153/07, a company registered with the CIPC in the Republic of South Africa. These terms are an agreement between Magu and anyone who uses this site, buys a service, searches for or registers a domain, buys a guide, or creates a folder ("you").

2. Acceptance. By using this site, purchasing a service, registering a domain, buying a guide, or creating a folder (account), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or its services.

3. Consulting services. Magu provides brand identity, website design, domain and professional email setup, and related consulting services as described on estolo/services.html. We do not offer company or business registration. Listed prices (including Standard/Premium tiers and any packages) are professional service fees in South African Rand, exclusive of VAT and third-party costs such as domain registry fees and hosting. Exact scope, deliverables, and timelines for a given engagement are confirmed in writing (email is sufficient) before work begins. Prices may change at any time; the price confirmed in writing for your engagement is the one that applies to you.

4. Domain search & registration. Magu offers domain name search and registration through domains.html (also reachable via estolo/domains.html), acting as a reseller through a third-party domain registrar. A domain that shows as "available" during search is a live check against that registrar and is not reserved for you until registration completes and payment is confirmed — availability can change between search and checkout. Domain registrations, renewals, and transfers are subject to the rules of the relevant registry or authority (for example ZADNA for .co.za domains, or ICANN policy for generic top-level domains), which take precedence over these terms where they conflict. You are responsible for providing accurate and current registrant/WHOIS information; inaccurate registrant details can result in suspension or cancellation by the registry itself, not just by us. We may decline to register a domain that is unlawful, infringes a third party's rights, or breaches the registry's own naming rules. Once we've submitted a registration or renewal to the registry, that submission generally cannot be reversed — registry and registrar fees are a real, immediate cost to us the moment a domain is registered, so domain purchases are non-refundable once registration has been submitted, except where the domain genuinely could not be provisioned due to an error on our side. Domains you register are managed from your folder (myfolder/domains.html), including registration status, renewal, and auto-renew; you are responsible for renewing a domain before it expires — we may send renewal reminders to your account email as a courtesy, but a missed renewal can result in the domain expiring and becoming available for anyone else to register, and we are not liable for a domain lost this way.

5. Guides. Magu sells a catalogue of business guides via estolo/guides.html, organised into folders by topic. Each guide's first chapters are free to read as a preview before you buy; buying a guide unlocks every remaining chapter in that guide, accessible from your folder (myfolder/guides.html) for as long as your account exists. Guides are licensed to you for your own personal or internal business use — you may not resell, redistribute, publicly share, or republish the chapter content. Guide prices are shown on estolo/guides.html in South African Rand and may change over time; the price you were actually charged at checkout is the one that applies to your purchase. Once a guide's paid chapters have been unlocked on your account, the purchase is final, except where the content is genuinely defective or materially not as described, in which case contact us for a fix or refund.

6. Payment processing. Payments — for consulting services, domain registrations, and guides alike — are processed by Paystack, a third-party payment processor. Magu never sees or stores your full card details — that information is handled entirely by Paystack under its own security standards. All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) unless stated otherwise. A transaction is only treated as complete once Paystack confirms it to us; if a payment is declined, reversed, or disputed, any digital access, domain registration, or download tied to it may be suspended or, for a domain not yet submitted to the registry, cancelled.

7. Accounts ("get folder"). Creating a folder requires a valid email address and password. Your folder organises your guides, domains, and billing history in one place. You're responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for anything that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or close an account we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently, abusively, or in breach of these terms.

8. Refunds & cancellations. For consulting services: if you cancel before we've started work, you're entitled to a full refund of any deposit paid; once work has genuinely begun, fees for work already completed are non-refundable, and we'll discuss the remainder in good faith. For domain registrations: see clause 4 — non-refundable once submitted to the registry, except for a genuine provisioning error on our side. For guides: see clause 5 — final once a purchased guide's chapters are unlocked, except where the content is defective or not as described.

9. Your responsibilities. You agree to give us accurate information needed to deliver a service, register or manage a domain (including registrant/WHOIS details), or complete a purchase. Delays or inaccuracies on your side — including incorrect registrant information for a domain — may delay delivery or registration, and we're not liable for delays or registry action caused by information you didn't provide or provided incorrectly.

10. Intellectual property. Deliverables we create for you under a consulting engagement (logos, websites, documents) become your property once paid in full, unless we've agreed otherwise in writing. Magu retains the right to display completed work in its own portfolio and marketing unless you ask us not to. Guides sold via estolo/guides.html remain Magu's intellectual property — you're buying a licence to read and use them, not ownership of the content itself. A domain you register through us is registered in your name as registrant, subject to the registry's own rules; Magu does not claim ownership of your domain.

11. Liability. Magu provides services and guidance in good faith and with reasonable skill, but we don't guarantee specific outcomes — funding approval, business success, domain availability, registry decisions, or decisions made by third parties (CIPC, ZADNA/ICANN, banks, investors, Paystack, our domain registrar) are outside our control. To the extent permitted by law, Magu's total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or our services is limited to the amount you actually paid us for the specific service, domain, or guide giving rise to the claim. We're not liable for indirect or consequential loss (like lost profits, lost opportunities, or a lost domain due to non-renewal).

12. Privacy & your information. How we collect, use, protect, and let you control your personal information — including what we share with Supabase, Paystack, our domain registrar, and Resend — is set out in full in our privacy policy, processed in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). That policy forms part of these terms.

13. Consumer rights. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Where these terms conflict with a right you have under that Act, the Act takes precedence.

14. Termination. We may suspend or stop providing services to you, or close your account, if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached, or in cases of suspected fraud or abuse. Suspending or closing your account does not cancel a domain already registered in your name with the registry — that registration continues independently of your Magu folder. You may stop using the site or close your account at any time by contacting us.

15. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute that can't be resolved directly between us will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

16. Changes to these terms. We may update these terms from time to time, for example as the site or services change. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the site or our services after an update means you accept the revised terms.
